Common Wealth project exhibition & launch

Sat 14th November 2026

Please join us for the launch of our new Chronicle edition “Common Wealth”, and to see the large scale mural drawings created in this collaborative project addressing social and environmental change and challenges. The project has been developing over the last few months, created by an inspirational group of students, staff and alumni from London College of Communications (LCC), Falmouth School of Art and Central Saint Martins (CSM) and members of the public, working with Artist in Residence Alice Angus.

On the 75th anniversary of the 1951 Festival of Britain, and Feliks Topolski's mural " Cavalcade of the Commonwealth", the project has been revisiting  the concept and meaning of ‘common wealth’,  thinking about it as public goods;- such as clean air, water, freedom of expression, access, healthy communities and ecosystems. It draws on the legacy of Topolski to use reportage drawing to document, explore and tell stories resulting in this Chronicle and a series of large scale mural drawings.
